STRUCTURE

Below is the spelt – out Structure for the Examination:

  1. Candidates shall offer at least three main subjects at A’ Level.

  2. The overall mark in each subject shall be expressed as a percentage and may include an element in respect of Continuous Assessment (CA).

  3. For every A ‘Level subject registered each candidates must have a C.A grade which carries 20 % of the total scores.

  4. All Science subjects in IJMB Examination, except A ‘Level Mathematics, have one practical paper each, which carries substantial percentage of the total scores.

  5. All social sciences subjects have two papers only except for Economics ,which has objective questions as Paper 3.

  6. There are three(3) papers to ARTs subjects which are ( Literature in English, Government and CRS.

 

CONVERSION OF IJMB GRADES

C — 50% –95 %                                                                      P — CREDITS (35%-49 %)

D – 45% –49%                                                                       F – PASS (35% –39)

E – 40 % — 44%

F – BELOW 40%

NB: IJMBE results are released between (two) 2 to (three)3 months of the examination.

NB: If a candidate does not have an F in any of his/her three (3) courses, such candidate will be compensated with an additional one (1) point.
